Ergolet, LiftSeat to Jointly Offer Safe Patient Solutions

Seattle -- Ergolet and LiftSeat have announced a North America distribution agreement for their patient lift and toilet transfer solutions.

“They have the premier lifts, and we bring the most advanced toilet transfer products,” says Greg Kilgore, president of LiftSeat Corporation, based in Lombard, Ill. Ergolet’s North America operations are based in Minneapolis.

Mobility aids manufactured by Ergolet include overhead lifts, sit-to-stand aids and track systems that deliver safety and ease of use in all care situations. LiftSeat designs, manufactures and sells a full line of toilet transfer solutions that reduce falls and increase patient and caregiver
safety.

According to Sam Rosen, Ergolet’s Director of Sales and Marketing, “The companies have a common vision – to increase patient and caregiver safety. Ergolet and LiftSeat dealers will now have the opportunity to offer product solutions from both companies.”

LiftSeat powerized toilet lifts are used in acute and long-term care facilities, served by a national network of sales and support professionals. The flagship LS400 has become the industry’s gold standard while the LS600 model is engineered to handle patients up to 650 lbs.

Ergolet is best known for its Luna overhead lift motor that is used to help healthcare workers and home caregivers transfer patients safely. The Luna is often used in conjunction with Ergolet’s E-Track – tracking that is installed on a room’s walls instead of the ceiling, resulting in a more visually appealing, safe and versatile means of transferring patients to and from bed, bathroom, armchairs and wheelchairs.

Kilgore says, “The big headline in our industry is that safe patient handling is a rapidly emerging sector of health care. Through our partnership with Ergolet, both companies are able to deliver to health institutions a comprehensive solution of complementary technologies to meet this
critical need.”
